In two separate terrorist attacks in Pakistan’s Baluchistan province went killed seven Pakistani soldiers. This information was given in an official statement released on Tuesday. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Pakistan military’s media department, said militants blew up an IED blast on a Frontier Corps vehicle in the Pir Gab area on Monday night, killing six Pakistani army soldiers.
Another soldier died in an encounter with militants in a separate incident in the catchment area of Balochistan. The incident took place early in the morning when security forces personnel were fencing the border. Resource-rich Balochistan is located in the south-western part of Pakistan and its border with Afghanistan and Iran. Balochistan is the largest and poorest province of Pakistan. Baloch nationalists often target security forces.
