June 09, 2020 (New Delhi) – Apart from acting, Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan is also the most preferred face and voice for social media campaigns and advertisement. It is his baritone voice which is ruling the advertisement industry for almost a decade now and is likely that his voice would be ruling over Google Maps app which will help users navigate to a preferred destination.

As per the recent report, tech giant Google Inc. is in talks with Mr. Bachchan to lend his voice for Google Maps in India while the actor is yet to sign the contract.

Users usually hear Australian native, New York-based entertainer Karen Jacobsen’s commanding voice for navigation purpose, but a source revealed that Amitabh Bachchan would likely to be the voice of navigation app in India.

Amitabh is hugely popular and everyone recognizes his baritone. However, though he has been approached by Google, nothing has been finalized yet’’, revealed a source.

Google Maps is one of the hotshots and the most preferred navigation application widely used on smartphones.

If the contract is likely to surface, Mr. Bachchan’s voice then would be used for announcing instructions for route-by-route navigation. If the deal goes through, this would be the first time a celebrity voice will feature on Google Maps.
