Huawei Watch GT 2 continues the beautiful design of the previous Huawei Watch GT. Except for the excellent design, this watch also comes with great fitness features and long battery life. Each size has Sports, Classic and Elite editions. I bought the 46mm Sports so let’s get started with this 46mm Watch and see its’ performance on different aspects.
Design and Screen
Unlike Watch GT2 42mm, the colors of Watch GT 2 46mm straps tend to be cool color tones. Except for the Color of Sunset Orange, which is very suitable for working out. This color is bright and full of energy. So I choose the orange strap edition. The silicone strap is very comfortable to wear on the skin. I can barely feel it when I working out with watch gt 2. The comfort of the wearing experience is also due to the watch’s lightweight dial, only 41g without the silicone strap. The 46mm watch is only 10.7mm thick, which won’t bring chunky feelings.
Huawei Watch GT 2 has 3D glass on the front panel with curved edges, with stainless steel frames around it. The charging port and heart rate sensor are on the ceramic back of its dial. On the side of this watch has a pair of buttons, one for on or off the watch and one for working out. The speakers and microphones are located on the right and left sides of the dial, respectively.
Besides, the display of the Huawei Watch GT 2 is a 1.39 inch AMOLED glass screen, supporting touch and slide touch gestures. With a screen resolution of 454×454 pixels, the screen clarity and brightness are very good. The bright and high-resolution screen makes users see the display under sunlight very easily.
Sports and Health Features
The sports trainer with positioning systems on Huawei GT 2 can track your workout and calories. I use it to track my running map, the GPS on watch gt 2 will show my route on a map. The tracking results are quite accurate. And the miles data that I’ve run or the steps are also acceptable.
The sports features on Watch GT 2 supports many workouts such as an outdoor and indoor run or walk, rower, and elliptical. With the heart rate sensor on its dial, the watch can track your real-time heart rate and calculate your calories consumption when you are using those fitness machines. The 5ATM water-resistant feature of this watch also makes swimming heart tracking available. I didn’t wear my watch GT 2 to swim, but according to the waterproof performance of placing the watch under the water flow, it should be no problem to take it for a swim.
TruSleep™ 2.0 sleep tracking and TruRelax™ pressure monitoring can monitor your sleep time and repaid eye movement to analyze your sleep quality. Heart rate tracking also works well. You can set the level of heart rate, once your heart rate is beyond or below the level, it will remind you through vibration.
Huawei Watch GT 2 is equipped with its self-developed chip – Kirin AI, the dual-chip, and intelligent power-saving technology. According to Huawei official claims, the battery life can be up to about 14 days with its power-saving technology. But it actually depends on your use frequency. If you are not the user who opens it all the time for 24 hours, it actually can hold about 10 days. Compare to other smartwatch devices, the battery life is quite decent. For those who don’t charge their smart devices frequently, 10 days of battery life is also enough. Except for the battery life, the charging speed is also quite fast, it can be fully charged in about 1 hour.
Huawei Watch GT 46mm is suitable for those who want a watch with fitness features and a decent design. With long battery life, good looking, and great fitness tracking, it is definitely worth its price.
