Three militants have been killed in an encounter with army and police in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir. A senior police officer said that the encounter took place in the Runipora area of Anantnag. According to the police, the terrorists have not been identified yet. With today’s encounter, 116 militants have been killed by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir this year. Out of this, 38 terrorists have been killed only this month.
According to the report, joint teams of 19 National Rifles and CRPF of the police, army and militants were killed in a joint operation in the Runipora area.
Rifle and pistol recovered from the scene
As the security forces began to surround the terrorists, the terrorists hiding in the area started firing. The Army Police and CRPF gave this retort. The army has also seized weapons from the scene.
The seized weapon included a rifle and 2 pistols. A police operation is going on at the scene. The police have cordoned off the area and are conducting a search operation there.
