Mumbai has appeared as the biggest hotspot of coronavirus in India. The number of cases is increasing due to the spread of coronavirus in slums of Maharashtra. As per the source, there are around 1983 cases in Maharashtra, out of which 1616 are still active, and 148 deaths are registered so far. There are about 1259 cases in Mumbai alone.

Monday is the second last day of the lockdown, but the toll is still mounting all over India. There are around 9240 confirmed cases out of which 7813 are active, and 331 resulted in death.

Several Indian states have extended the lockdown till 1 May. PM Modi may extend the nationwide extension of lockdown today.
