June 18, 2020 (New Delhi)  Late Bollywood Actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s ashed were immersed in holy Ganga at his hometown Patna by his father KK Singh on Thursday. Along with his sister Shweta Singh Kirti and other family members, they bid him final farewell at his hometown Patna.

Sushant’s US-based sister Shweta Singh Kirti had revealed via a Facebook post that she reached Patna on Wednesday and the actor’s last rites will be performed on Thursday. She urged fans to pray for him and celebrate his life.

Today we will be doing Asthi Visarjan (Ashes Immersion) for Bhai. I again want to ask all to pray for him and send him off with all the fond memories and unconditional love in your hearts. Let’s celebrate his life and give him a very loving and happy farewell,’’ says Shweta’s from her official Facebook handle.

34-year-old Bollywood star died on June 14, 2020, by suicide. He was said to be under stress and depression for the past six months. 

Sushant Singh Rajput got his Bollywood debut from the movie ‘Kao Po Che!’ which won him several accolades and awards for his performance. He was the star of other Hindi films such as ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Sonchiriya’, ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’, ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Chichore’.
