With 10 more cases of Covid-19 in the state, on Monday, the number of such patients in the state increased to 36 who are still being treated. This information was given by the officials. State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said that among the new patients, there are nine persons who came to Goa on a train from Mumbai on Sunday. Also, it includes the woman who came to this coastal state in her car and has been separated in Vasco.

He said that all 10 people were found infected by the trunat (quick) investigation. According to the Bulletin of the Health Department, about 456 passengers who arrived here on the Mumbai-Goa train have been examined since Sunday in the laboratory set up at Hospicio Hospital in Madgaon, South Goa district. As of Sunday, the number of such patients in the state was 26 who were undergoing treatment but 10 new cases were reported on Monday morning, increasing the number of such patients to 36.

“All 36 patients have been admitted to the special Covid-19 hospital in Madgaon,” Rane said. “So far, 12 passengers of the Mumbai-Goa train have been found infected with the corona virus.” In the first Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram Rajdhani train, 6 passengers traveling to Goa on Saturday were found infected.

On May 1, Goa was declared a green zone when all seven Covid-19 patients found earlier in the state were cured. However, this coastal state has seen an increase in the number of cases in the last few days. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant claimed on Sunday that there has not been a community spread of Covid-19 in the state so far.
