The number of Covid-19 patients in the district has increased to 58 after 10 more cases in Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. Chief Medical Officer Dr. Suresh Singh said that 10 new cases of Covid-19 infection have been reported in the district. In this way, the number of infected patients has now increased to 58 in the district. Most of them are migrant workers. He said that a total of 1,724 samples have been collected in the district so far, out of which 1,596 samples have been tested for negative reports while 58 are infected. The test report of 70 samples is yet to come.
Singh said that two of the migrant laborers injured in the road accident on May 15 are also corona infected. The medical team treating these laborers has been separated at home. He said that on Monday, a list of people coming in contact with people found corona positive is being prepared and sent to the segregation. Singh said that prohibited zones are being created on the basis of new cases of infection. All the infected patients are housed in L-1 category hospitals of Covid-19.
