Sushant Singh Rajput Case: Mumbai Police Questions Dharma’s CEO Apoorv for 3 hours

July 28, 2020 (Mumbai)Mumbai Poice on Tuesday questioned Dharma Production’s CEO, Apoorva Mehta, in connection with the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death for three hours at Amboli police station. 

Mumbai Police has so far recorded the statement of prominent Bollywood personalities including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aaditya Chopra, Mahesh Bhat, the actor’s ex-girlfriends Rhea Chakraborty and TV star Ankita Lokhande, Mukesh Chabbra and Mahesh Bhatt.  The police have so far recorded the statement of 40 people including the actor’s psychiatrist, cook, and family members.

Summons have also been sent to actor Kangana Ranaut to record her statement. According to the police, Kangana is currently in Manali. The Queen-starred actress had pointed out the growing nepotism in Bollywood allegedly promoted by a handful of production houses and families. 

Earlier this week, Mumbai Police summoned director Mahesh Bhatt to question his social link with Sushant Rajput.

Sushant,34, was found hanging at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14.

The police are investigating the alleged professional rivalry and the clinical depression that provoked the actor to commit suicide. 

Sushant starred in movies like Shuddh Desi Romance, Kai Po Che, Raabta, Kedarnath, Chichore, and Sonchiriya. His most recognized performance noticed in the biopic of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni by the name MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. 

Sushant’s latest movie Dil Bechara was released last Friday which has received heaps of praises in social media.
