New Delhi: Women of rural areas are getting great relief from the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana of the Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. A woman from Haryana who has benefited from this scheme of Modi Government has thanked PM Modi with the Government of India. The woman says that her troubles have been overcome by the benefits provided under the Ujjwala scheme.
The official Twitter handle of Regional Outreach Bureau Chandigarh (ROB Chandigarh) has shared a video. In which the woman says, ‘There was smoke in cooking food from wood. Now ok, got a good cylinder, let me cook good food. Modi ji has given a cylinder and I thank him.
The beneficiary Santo Devi, a resident of Haryana, states that due to lack of gas connection facilities, fire was used to cook food on the earthen stove, which was feared due to smoke.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme, the government provides domestic LPG (LPG) connections to families living below the poverty line. The Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme is being run in collaboration with the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas of the Central Government. Let us tell you that wood and cow dung are used for cooking in rural areas. Due to which the smoke emanating affects the health of women. In such a situation, the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) helps such women to get relief and keep the rural area clean.

Who gets the benefit of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Scheme-
According to the 2011 census, families who fall in the BPL category get the benefit of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala scheme. The target is to provide LPG connections to a total of 8 crore BPL families for free under this scheme.
