CISF and CRPF contingents will be deployed in separate zones from tomorrow in Mumbai. Zone 1 of Mumbai covers the area of Marine Drive from Colaba. In Zone 3, Tardeo, Nagpada, Worli, Byculla and N. The area comes up to the corentine hotspot of M. Joshi. At the same time, the area from Corentin hotspot Dharavi to Dadar falls in Zone 5. There will be deployment of paramilitary forces in all these places.
The area from Chembur to Mankhurd falls in Zone 6 while John 9 comes from Bandra to Amboli. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) said on Monday that 1,185 new cases of infection with corona virus have come to Mumbai, while 23 more have died. So far, 757 people have died due to infection in the metropolis, while a total of 21,152 people have been infected with the virus. Today, out of 1,185 new cases, 300 cases were investigated between May 12 and 16 in private laboratories.
According to a government press release, 504 people were discharged after treatment. With this, the number of patients yet recovered in the metropolis has increased to 5,516. It said, “People have been admitted to hospitals in a total of 804 new suspected cases”. The total number increased to 1,327. However, no deaths have been reported from Covid-19 in Dharavi today, an official said. So far 56 people have died due to infection in Dharavi.
