May 28, 2020, Bhartiya Janata Party’s vocal firebrand and spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra on Thursday has been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram after he showed the symptoms of COVID-19, cities a ruling party’s close aide

Patra, one of the most visible BJP faces of prime-time debates on news channels, was not feeling well for the past couple of days, cites a source who has very close ties with the family member, on the account of anonymous identity.

The 45-year-old spokesperson has also fought the 2019’s Lok Sabha Election, represented BJP from Puri constituency in Orissa but was succumbed to Biju Janta Dal’s candidate Pinaki Misra.

Patra, whose knack of giving witty reply to opponents every time, has 4.4 million followers on Twitter, as he is famously known to take a dig at the helm of other parties. 

The leader who is a surgeon by profession is also BJP’s mouth on twitter, posted multiple tweets on Thursday as well.

India has, so far, recorded over 1.58 lakhs cases of the deadly virus. According to the Union Health Ministry data, over 4,500 people have lost their lives, while nearly 67,000 patients have been recovered from China-bound Coronavirus.
