Former Finance Minister and senior Congress leader P. Chidambaram reacted to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s speech on Wednesday. He said that whatever the Finance Minister said today, there is nothing for millions of poor, hungry and devastated migrant laborers. They are still on their way back to their states.
Chidambaram said- a big shock to those who earn by working hard every day. There is also no means of cash transfer to half the population of the lower classes. 13 crore families have been left destitute. Meanwhile, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that the Special Economic Package of the Center is a ‘Big Zero’. There is nothing for the states in this.
Finance Minister had said- 45 lakh industries will benefit from this
Earlier, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman told how much money would be given to which sector under the special package of 20 lakh crore for self-reliant India. The government made 15 announcements to provide relief to MSMEs, NBFCs, MFIs, discoms, real estate, tax and contractors. 3 lakh crore loan will be given to MMME. This will benefit 45 lakh industries.
