    COVID-19: Cases tally crossed one lakh, death toll rises over 3,000; Record increase in corona cases in the country

    The number of people infected with the corona virus in the country crossed the alarming figure of one lakh (100,000) on Monday.     Maharashtra’s worst situation

    ICMR changes testing strategy

    The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has changed its strategy to investigate the corona virus in India. Now any patient admitted to hospitals and those in the frontline who are engaged in prevention and control of Covid-19, will also undergo RT-PCR check if they show signs of influenza-like illness (ILI). In addition, people in direct contact with an infected case and who are at extremely high risk who do not have symptoms will be screened for detection of infection once between the fifth and tenth day of contact. So far, such cases are being investigated once between the fifth and the 14th day.

    The entire office will not be closed in case of one or two cases

    The Union Health Ministry said today that there will be no need to close the entire building of the office if one or two cases of Covid-19 are in place and the work can be restored after making it infection-free under instructions. The guideline on precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 at the workplace i.e. the entire building will be closed for 48 hours if cases arise on a large scale. All the employees will work from home till the building is made transition-free and again it is declared suitable for restoration of work.
