    COVID-19 India News: With largest spike, 2391 cases recorded in the last 24 hours

    Today it is the second last day of lockdown 2.0, but coronavirus seems to be heavy on India to some extent so far. Home ministry has extended nationwide lockdown till May 17. Yesterday, the total number of confirmed cases in India mounted to 37000. According to the source, there are a total of 37,257 confirmed cases, out of which 26,063 cases are active currently, and the patients are in Hospitals. Around 2391 new cases recorded in the last 24 hours in India. Yesterday, about 948 patients recovered and discharged from the hospital. 69 patients lost their lives in the previous 24 hours. A total of 1223 deaths are registered so far all over India.

    Maharashtra has around 30% confirmed cases alone, and with the addition of 1006 new cases, there are now total 11,506 confirmed cases. 9142 cases are currently active and are being treated. A total of 1879 patients recovered in Maharashtra, and around 485 fatalities are registered so far. 26 deaths are recorded in the previous 24 hours. Mumbai is the biggest hotspot of COVID-19 in Maharashtra and has approximately 7812 confirmed cases so far.

    After Maharashtra, Gujrat has the maximum number of cases. With the addition of 326 new cases, there are around 4721 confirmed cases in Gujrat. 3749 cases are still active and 736 recovered cases are recorded so far. 236 deaths are registered so far in Gujrat. Ahmedabad is the biggest hotspot of COVID-19 in Gujrat and has 3293 cases alone.

    COVID-19 Pandemic has created chaos in Delhi also. Around 3738 cases are registered so far, out of which 2510 cases are still active, and around 1167 patients recovered from COVID-19 Pandemic. 61 deaths are recorded so far in Delhi. 223 news patients are confirmed in the previous 24 hours. Around 47,225 tests are done so far in Delhi.

    Rajasthan is one of the most affected states in India by COVID-19. With the addition of 82 new cases, there are now a total of 2,666 confirmed cases out of which 1488 are still active and being treated. 1116 cases resulted as recovered, and 62 deaths are recorded so far in Rajasthan. Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Kota are the most prominent hotspots of Coronavirus in Rajasthan.
