The health condition of former President of India Pranab Mukherjee is unchanged and still unstable, as he is still on the life-support and reeling with deep-coma condition, said New Delhi’s Army Research and Referral Hospital.
Doctors at Army Hospital are attending an 84-year-old politician who has recently been treated for a brain tumor. His condition is further deteriorated and the treatment for his respiratory infection is still undergoing, said Hospital in a press release issued on Monday.
Mr. Mukherjee who was initially treated for a blood clot in his head complained of difficulty in breathing, thus re-admitted to Delhi Cantonment hospital on August 10.
At the time of admission, he was diagnosed COVID-19 positive, and later developed a respiratory infection which further deteriorated his condition.
Shri Pranab Mukherjee is a veteran Congress Politician who was the finance minister during the UPA II regime. He was conferred India’s highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna in 2019 by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind.
