New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a press conference at 4 pm today. Through this press conference, she will explain the specifics of the relief package announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Finance Minister will also tell that in which areas and how much amount will be given to 20 lakh crore rupees. It will also be clear how the amount will be used. On Tuesday night at 8 pm, PM Narendra Modi announced an economic package of 20 lakh crores to bring the country’s economy back on track due to corona virus.
The Finance Ministry has given information about the Finance Minister’s press conference from its official Twitter handle. Ministry wrote- Today at 4 pm, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a press conference in Delhi. PM Modi had told that the Finance Minister will announce announcements related to all the areas from Wednesday. Along with this, he has also said that in this package every section associated with society will be taken care of. Preparations have been made for the direction of advancing all sections including the poor, workers and migrants.
Let us tell you that the economic package announced by PM Modi is about 10 percent of Indian GDP. The special thing is that India has become the fifth largest country in the world in terms of giving relief package. In the list of countries giving the largest relief package, Japan is first and America is second.
