AA (Artificer Apprentice) and SSR (Senior Secondary Recruit) is the post of a sailor in the Navy. Indian Navy sailor conducts a three-phase exam:

  • Computer-Based Examination
  • Physical Fitness Test ( PFT)
  • Medical Examination.

Requirements and eligibility criteria for SSR and AA

  • Age:- 17-21 years
  • Nationality:- Indian and Gorkhas
  • Martial status:- Unmarried
  • Education:- Passed in 12th with Physics, Maths, Chemistry, and the optional subject will be Biology and Computer Science

Physical and Medical Standard

Qualifying 1.6 KM run-in 7 minutes, 10 pushups, 20 squats. Minimum height of 157cms with propionate weight and minimum chest expansion of 5 cms. Good mental and physical health.
