In the midst of the Coronavirus crisis, the Modi government has fulfilled the promises under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana. According to the BJP, under this scheme, with full transparency, the assistance amount has been transferred directly to the beneficiaries account without middlemen. According to BJP, 20.05 crore women Jan Dhan account holders were sent 10,025 crore rupees in the first installment. In the second installment, about 20.49 crore women Jan Dhan account holders got a profit of Rs 10,243 crore. Apart from this, around 1.82 crore old widows, Divyang and senior citizens were given assistance of Rs 1,405 crore in the first installment and Rs 1,402 crore in the second installment.
According to the BJP, he helped the farmer in the first installment of Rs 16,394 crore under the PM-Kisan scheme. About 8.19 crore farmers were benefitted under this scheme. Apart from this, assistance amounting to Rs. 3,950 crore reached for about 2.20 crore construction workers.

According to the data released by the Modi government, under the 24 percent contribution scheme in EPFO, assistance of Rs 760 crore was given to about 49 lakh people. Apart from this, under the Ujjwala scheme, 7.48 crore people were helped in the first installment and Rs. 8,427 crore were given to 4.36 crore people in the second installment. According to the Modi government, under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, the total number of beneficiaries amounted to 41.67 crore and a benefit of Rs 52,606 crore.
