- Directorate of Education has issued this order to all schools
- This system is expected to increase the number of students in government schools
In the online admission process going on in government schools, students and their parents will not be asked for Aadhaar card and any other documents. Everyone will be admitted without any papers till the lockdown. The Directorate of Education has issued this order to all schools. This is expected to increase the number of students in government schools. According to the officials of the Education Department, at present, Aadhaar cards are being sought online from children and their parents for admission in class I.
In such a situation, the problem is increased due to not having these documents with many parents. In view of these difficulties, the directorate has ordered all schools to admit students without any documents till lockdown. Apart from this, according to officials, now the admission of students going from class 5th to 6th and class 8th to 9th will be on the basis of School Registration Number (SRN) and School Living Certificate (SLC). No number of Aadhaar card etc. will be asked from anyone. Because SRN and SLC have all the information of children. According to District Education Officer Satinder Kaur in this regard, all schools have been informed of the directorate’s order. Now they will not demand documents etc. from anyone to increase cent percent admission in schools.
