Bengaluru The lockdown was announced by the central government on Sunday 31 May. Along with the lockdown, the central government also gave various instructions to the state governments. Now keeping these instructions in mind, the Government of Karnataka has released its guidelines for the state. The Karnataka government has decided that bus services will be started on the basis of consent with neighboring states except Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and Gujarat.
The state government has also allowed train services and private taxi services, autos within the state. Only two passengers are allowed to sit in a taxi and auto. Barber shops, saloons and spas have also been allowed to open in the state. Government parks will now be opened in the state from 2 hours 7 am to 9 pm and in the evening two hours from 5 am to 7 pm.
The Karnataka government has decided that the district administration will decide the district administration after consulting the health department. Only supply of essential commodities will be exempted in the contention area, while contact tracing will also be done on a war footing. As before, curfew will continue across the state from 7 pm to 7 am and 24 hours curfew will be issued every Sunday till 31 May.
