Son Rohan was shot dead by a person in a brawl over liquor in Rohini area. Arapei also murdered his mother some 33 years ago. The accused in that murder also remained in jail for many years. Police arrested Arpipi Ompal Singh alias Bhushan (60).

Police said on Wednesday that Ompal killed his son Balbir Singh (28) on Tuesday night when he arrived home after drinking alcohol. According to police, Balbir protested when Ompal came to drink. They had a quarrel over it. Balbir tried to stop the father, on which Ampal shot Balbir from close range with a licensed pistol in the house. Ompal killed his mother in 1987 with a knife. At that time, the case was registered with Mangolpuri police station. Monu lived in Rithala with the family.

Father Ompal is the landlord. It has many shops and houses in its area. PCR was reported to have shot his own son at home around 9 pm on Monday night. Police reached the spot. Blood splattered on the floor of the room. While Ompal was surrounded by family and neighbors in the room. Families learned that Monu had been taken to a nearby hospital. Police arrested Ompal. The pistol, loaded with his possession, recovered the shell of the cartridge.
