Waiting tickets for 30 special trains running across the country started getting available from Friday. But IRCTC booked waiting tickets up to 10 times the scheduled waiting. At present, only online tickets are being booked and IRCTC is also charging a service charge of Rs 30 per ticket.

IRCTC says that during booking, the waiting rate crosses the limit and the money is deducted, hence the waiting ticket has to be given. Railway Board official says that this problem has occurred on the first day, we are working out a solution.

Waiting for train running on 22 May

At the time of the announcement of running special trains, it was also decided that there would be no waiting on trains, but now it was revealed that some people are canceling tickets after reservation and the seats are vacant. After this it was decided that the reservation to be held from May 15 (for the train running on May 22) will have scheduled waiting in all categories. On opening of the reservation on Friday, the seats became full and regressed and in some trains the reservation reached more than the standard.

Rule- tickets will be given if the transaction is done

Siddharth Singh, PRO of IRCTC, said that when people book tickets, there are seats. The seats become full during the transaction. Railway Board rules that if the transaction has taken place then the ticket will be given. Therefore the ticket is generated automatically and the waiting is reaching more than the prescribed limit.
